Ingredients
Chocolate Cake Ingredients
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 200 g butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Ingredients for the cheese mass
- 1 kg cream cheese
- 200 g soft butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of potato flour
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- grated orange peel
Instructions
Preparation of chocolate cake
Cut the cold butter into smaller pieces and place on a pastry board or worktop. Add the sifted flour, baking powder, eggs, cocoa and sugar. Quickly knead everything until a uniform dough is formed.
Divide into two equal parts. Spread one half of the dough on the bottom of a 25x25 cm baking tin lined with baking paper, spreading it evenly with your fingers. Then prick the dough with a fork to prevent it from bulging during baking. Wrap the other half of the dough in cling film and put it in the freezer to harden before using it again.
Preparation of cheese mass
Place all the ingredients for the cream cheese mixture in a large bowl and mix thoroughly using a whisk or a mixer set at low speed.
Pour the ready curd mass evenly onto the previously prepared dough in the form, spreading it gently with a spatula. Then remove the second half of the dough from the freezer and grate it on a grater with large holes, so as to evenly cover the top of the curd mass.
Place the cake tin in an oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until the cheesecake is set. Once it's done baking, open the oven door slightly and leave the cheesecake to cool for about an hour. Then place it in a cold place for a few hours. When it has cooled down completely, carefully remove it from the tin.
