Ingredients
- 200 g tagliatelle pasta
- 1 can (400 g) of chopped tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons grated parmesan
- a few leaves of fresh basil
Preparation
Cook the pasta al dente in salted water according to the package instructions. Drain, reserving a little of the cooking water.
Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the onion, salt and fry over low heat for a few minutes until translucent and soft.
Add the chopped tomatoes from the can to the onion, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 10-15 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Add a little pasta cooking water if necessary.
Combine the finished sauce with the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly. Serve warm, sprinkled with grated parmesan and garnished with fresh basil leaves.
