Pasta with Chicken and Dried Tomatoes

If you are looking for an idea for a quick, aromatic and filling dinner, then pasta with chicken and tomatoes will be the perfect choice. Delicate chicken tenderloins, fried until golden, combine here with the expressive taste of sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and the herbal aroma of thyme. The whole is complemented by a creamy sauce based on 18% cream, which envelops the pasta and makes the dish pleasantly velvety. This is a classic comfort food with a hint of Italian cuisine - simple, quick to prepare and always delicious. Pasta with chicken and tomato sauce is a tasty proposition for a family dinner or dinner for two.
Recipe for pasta with chicken and tomatoes
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken tenderloin
- 4 tablespoons dried tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup of cream 18%
- salt and pepper
- a pinch of dried thyme
Preparation
Cook penne in salted water until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Wash the chicken tenderloins, pat dry, cut into smaller pieces and season with salt and pepper. Heat butter and oil in a large pan, add the meat and fry for a few minutes until browned and cooked through. Set the fried chicken aside (e.g. on a plate).
In the same pan, without washing it, add finely chopped garlic, dried tomatoes and thyme. Fry for about 1 minute on medium heat, being careful not to burn the garlic, then pour in the 18% cream. Mix thoroughly and heat the sauce until it begins to thicken slightly.
Add the previously fried chicken and cooked pasta to the sauce. Mix everything thoroughly, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately, optionally sprinkle with fresh herbs or parmesan.
