Recipe for gingerbread with apples
Ingredients for gingerbread
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 150 g butter
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pack of gingerbread spice 20 g
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup grated, squeezed apples
Preparing the gingerbread
Remove butter and eggs from fridge. Butter should be soft and eggs should be at room temperature.
Then cream the butter with the sugar, add the eggs, flour with the baking powder, baking soda, a packet of gingerbread spice and vanilla extract.
Slowly add the milk and mix (the milk should also be at room temperature) so that the dough is not too thick.
Peel 2-3 apples, grate them and squeeze out the juice thoroughly. Add the grated apples to the dough and mix thoroughly.
Bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for about 50-60 minutes, check with a toothpick whether the cake is baked (it should be dry).
Allow the finished gingerbread to cool and you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
