Ingredients
Ingredients for gingerbread
- 125 g butter
- 250 g cane sugar
- 2 eggs
- 300 g wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of plum jam
- 1 pack of gingerbread spice (20g)
- 2 flat tablespoons of cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 250 ml milk
Chocolate icing
- 100g dark chocolate
- 100 g heavy cream

- almonds
- walnuts
Instructions
Preparing the gingerbread
Melt butter, sugar and milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Add plum jam, honey, gingerbread spice and cocoa. Heat but do not boil, stirring constantly.
Cool the mass slightly and add the soda and eggs. Mix everything vigorously.
Then add the flour and mix well so that there are no lumps of flour.
Pour the mixture into the prepared elongated cake tin and place in the oven. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the tin comes out clean.
Preparing the icing
Boil the cream in a saucepan, then add the chocolate broken into cubes or finely chopped and stir until completely dissolved. Cool the icing, then it will thicken slightly and will be easier to pour.
Garnish with almonds and nuts.
