Chow mein noodles with beef and vegetables recipe
Ingredients
- 200g chow mein noodles
- 250 g beef tenderloin or other tender cut of beef
- 2 tablespoons of potato or corn starch
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 carrot
- 1 pepper (red or yellow)
- 1/2 broccoli
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 piece of ginger (3 cm)
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- white or black sesame seeds and spring onion for sprinkling
Preparation
Cut the beef into thin strips, sprinkle with starch and set aside for a few minutes. Cut the carrots, peppers and broccoli into thin strips or small florets. Finely chop the garlic and ginger.
Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package, drain and rinse with cold water.
Heat oil in a well-heated pan or wok, fry beef for 3 minutes over high heat until browned. Set aside.
In the same pan (add a little oil if necessary), add garlic and ginger, fry for a while, add vegetables and fry for 4 minutes until firm.
Add beef to vegetables, pour in soy and oyster sauce, mix thoroughly. Add noodles, fry everything together for 2 minutes. Finally, drizzle with sesame oil. Serve immediately, sprinkled with sesame seeds and chopped spring onion.
